I figure that if you are here, you might want to know a little more about me. Obviously this page is about cheerleading. So let's begin with how I got into cheer.

I didn't start cheerleading until 2017, but I didn't walk into the gym without any skills at all. I spent my preschool years in a small town in Southwest Nebraska. When I was just two years old my mom put me in a tap and tumble class. According to my mom, I was a handful and I couldnt get enough of the beam, tumbling and stretching. I loved to roll down the cheese mat so much that I bounced around eagerly until it was my turn. The season I was three years old ballet was added to the mix. Eventually it was clear that gymnastics and tumbling were what I most enjoyed and the dancing shoes were tucked away.

We moved to a larger city in Nebraska where I did recreational gymnastics seasonally off and on until at 10 years old, I began competing. Competitive gymnastics made me feel anxious. My family moved from Nebraska to South Dakota in the Spring of 2016 when I was 12. I took a year to enjoy recreational tumbling again before giving school sports a go. In the fall of 7th grade I told my mom that I was interested in cheerleading. That's when she made the phone call that would land me on the road I am on today.
